Challenged by LIEBSTER AWARD

Liebster Logo

Taking the persona of a dead hero with a bird as the nickname got me into this. Yeah, unbolt nominated me for this Liebster Award for that reason, “Who? What a silly question! Of course, all birds that I met on WP!”

I accepted although I didn’t really understand the rules of the game (I still don’t quite understand it right now), so please bear with me if there is any mistake on my part in playing this. Don’t try to ask me why it took me so long to proceed with this. I really have no idea.

Anyway, there are several rules you have to follow for this. I, by nature, am a lazy man. So I simply copied the rules from HERE and paste them here:

1) Acknowledge and accept the Liebster Award by leaving a comment on the blog, that nominated you.

2) Copy and paste the Liebster logo onto your blog.

3) Link back to the blogger who nominated you.

4) Answer the 11 questions put to you by the person who nominated you.

5) List 11 random facts about yourself.

6) Nominate and link to 3—11 other blogs you enjoy that have less than 3000 followers.

7) List 11 questions for your Liebster Award nominees on your blog.

8) Inform your nominees by leaving a comment on their blog.

I’m not sure if I have to do this in that order or not. I don’t think it makes much difference as long you follow them all.

First, the questions given and my answers are these:

01. Donald Duck or Woody Woodpecker?: Donal Duck, of course. He has my temper.

02. Swan Lake (ballet by Pyotr Tchaikovsky) or Black Swan (film by Darren Aronofsky)?: Swan Lake, because it is Swan Lake.

03. Harpies or Gryphons?: Gryphons. At least they don’t have the human faces to confuse my dick.

04. Angry Birds (puzzle video games) or Birds of Steel (combat flight simulator video games)?: Angry Birds, because vengeance is mine.

05. The Wonderful Adventures of Nils (books by Selma Lagerlof) or DuckTales (cartoons by Disney)?: Holy mother, Nils Holgersson and his Morten gander are two of my favorite characters! The answer is obvious enough.

06. Dove of Peace (sketch by Pablo Picasso) or Swans Reflecting Elephants (painting by Salvador Dali)?: With all due respects, I can never enjoy any work by Picasso. So Dali’s it is.

07. Blackbird (song by The Beatles) or White Bird (song by Sam Bush)?: Blackbird. I’m a bird and I’m black. That’s why.

08. Captain Jack Sparrow or Skipper, Kowalski, Private and Rico (The Penguins of Madagascar)?: The penguins, of course. Rico in particular.

09. One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest (novel by Ken Kesey) or To Kill a Mockingbird (novel by Harper Lee)?: One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest. No particular reason.

10. Raphinae or Phorusrhacos?: I’m about 6’11”. Not too tall by today’s standard, but with a fighting weight of 178 lbs, I definitely look more like a Phorusrhacos than a Raphinae. Phorusrhacos it is, then.

11. The Raven (poem by Edgar Allan Poe) or The Birds (film by Alfred Hitchcock)?: The Raven, because the word birds is too mainstream.

A bit difficult to gather the facts about me. I’ve died three times and always returned, and apart from that, I don’t think there’s any interesting fact about me. However, the rule says 11 random facts, so the other ten facts are: I get angry too easily, I always fall in love with the right person, I almost always fall in love in the wrong time, I think I’m immortal, I never grow up, I’m a failure in everything except life, I love dirt-bike, I love climbing, my music taste varies from confusing to annoying to normal people, and I wish I met the desert spring much earlier so I could prevent the midsummer sunset to be tainted by the dark forest (hey, no one says that all the facts should be understood easily, right?).

As a part of this game, I should nominee and link to 3—11 other blogs you enjoy that have less than 3000 followers. That’s rather heavy. I enjoyed lots of blogs, but I never really pay any particular attention to the number of their followers. When I find something interesting, it is interesting to me and whether it is interesting to anybody else never really matters. But, hey, a rule is a rule, right? So these are my nominees:

1. Bambang Priantono, because I heard he used to be a teacher, and I know very well that this reason doesn’t make any sense.

2. One Drawing Daily, because consistency is the sign of tenacity, and I always admire tenacity in anybody.

3. New Rule, because I still think he looks more menacing than I can ever be.

4. Rana Wijaya Soemadi, because it will be good to distract her a bit.

5. Usual Storyline, because I think it will annoy him. 😉

6. Listen To The Babe, because she’s no babe in the woods. Why else?

I think six should do it; after all it’s 3-11, right?

And now, the 11 questions need to be answered by the nominees:

1. Cowboy hat or beanie cap?

2. Boots or sneakers?

3. If you had one chance to have just one of your drawings come to life, who would you draw and why?

4. Have you ever felt the urge to punch anybody for no particular reason and how did you prevent it from happening? Ignore the second part if you did punch the dude, but I’d like to hear more about it.

5. If Mickey is a mouse, Donald is a duck, Gladstone is a gander, and Pluto is a dog, then what the fuck is Goofy???

6. If you knew you were going to die within an hour and have the chance to do just whatever you like once, what would you do?

7. Why does this number 7 look like a hoe?

8. Would you trust a barber who has no hair?

9. The serial killers always walk in leisurely slow paces while the victims always run as fast as she/he can. Then how come the serial killers always catch up with the victims anyway?

10. If you fell in love with somebody you’re not supposed to fall in love with, and you knew that the only way you two can be happy together is by sacrificing the happiness of those others closest to you, would you still do it? And if your answer is no, why not?

11. If by some impossible magic your mother (or father) and your wife (or husband) switched bodies, and the only way to undo it is by having sex with one of them, either your mother (or father) in your wife’s (or husband’s) body or your wife (or husband) in your mother’s (or father’s) body, what would you do?

So that’s it.

Your call now.
