Last Day Ink Drawing #inktober
Halloween. Day Of The Dead. Last day of 2014 Inktober Initiative. I can’t help thinking that Jake Parker deliberately chose October for this inktober not only because the month’s name fits better compares to the others (can you imagine inktember, inkvember, or inkcember replacing inktober?), but also because he knew it ends on Halloween; or Day Of The Dead to our Mexican friends.
I still can’t shake off my darkening demonic mood. If you saw yesterday’s self-portrait with my wicked devilish smile, you’d understand what I mean. Yet, I still want to make another self-portrait to conclude this year’s inktober.
So… Halloween, Day Of The Dead, and my darkening demonic mood. All combined with the help of two brushes, black ink, and red ink, and here’s the result:
I think this time I capture my own soul and my own demons quite good.
Well, that’s it, folks! What are you waiting for? Chariots Of Fire?
I’m really pleased that I’ve managed to finish this Inktober Initiative without skipping any single day. Come to think of it, there were even several days in which I made more than one ink drawings. Those extra drawings are private, though. They wouldn’t be shared anywhere, not even here.
So….
See you next year?
Jadi kagak ada inkvember?
No way! XD XD XD XD XD
Somebody in tumblr tries to start up something called notevember, though. It’s a 30-day writing challenge, I believe.
Owh. I dont interest, Hehe. Padahal aslinya males tingkat dewa XD
Man good job keeping up the challenge, it’s not easy to draw every day… Awesome work! What are your favourite tools to work with ink? (I think I saw a watercolor brush once but I’m not sure)
Thank you. I agree, it wasn’t easy.
Favorite tools? I don’t think I have any. Just about anything nearby when the mood strikes me, I suppose. Drawing pens, watercolor brush, pighair brush, calligraphy pen, whatever available. And don’t ask me about technique, because I don’t know any.
I just draw. 😉
