Aji Prasetyo’s BLUE VALLEY
When I first planned to translate this comic by Aji Prasetyo I decided I had to listen to the original song first, the 1978 Lembah Biru (Blue Valley) by Bimbo. That’s one of the few decisions I ever regretted. Oh, well, just read the comic and you’ll understand what I mean.
As usual, behind the melancholy Aji always put an underlining message, and this time it’s an environmental one. You have to be blind not to notice it. Now if you have read this comic and want to listen to the original song, especially if you speak Bahasa Indonesia fluently, I have a little piece of advice for you:
DON’T
Damn that song….
that’s what happened when you listen to bimbos ..
Yeah, I should’ve seen it coming.
now the song is stucked in your head
akhirnya… gimana?
mas Edwiiiinnn! 🙂
Baru selesai baca di sini! Uwih, romantis melankolisnya dapet! 🙂
ngenes Pak
haha
Sesak dada rasanya… suwakiiiiiit ….
Aaaahhhhhh….. Om Ed….. kalimat terakhirnya mengacaukan melankoliaku.. hehehe..
Komiknya bagus. Dalem. :’)
where can I read the original Bahasa Indonesia version? Is it on a book/anthology?
Well, at the moment, you can’t. Aji is sort of semiretired temporarily from the comic world, due to some personal matters he needs to settle urgently. This comic has not yet been published anywhere, and he e-mailed this to me several weeks ago. I decided to translate and post it here, with his permission.
Let’s just hope that Aji will soon get back in track and rock the Indonesian comic world again.
Amazing post, friend. I know I am a bit late, but thanks for posting this.
